QR Trail Exhibition Launch
Hard to believe, considering the dreary weather lately, but on Saturday July 29th, the sun was shining for the launch of a new Qr exhibition trail, located on five benches within West Ham Park’s iconic ornamental gardens.
The exhibition named, From The Ground Up, is the culmination of a digital skills project co-produced with local participatory arts organisation, Frames Of Mind and residents from Hamara Ghar, a high rise supported housing scheme in Green Street and funded by City Of London Corporation – Enjoying Green Spaces & the Natural Environment.
During the project the participants learned how to use creative apps on iPads and their smart phones and taking inspiration from seasonal visits to West Ham Park, produced the digital art, stop frame animations and photography featured in the exhibition. The playful work explores the power of nature to connect us to memories and the importance of our urban green spaces for our communal wellbeing.
